POET
POET (Phenotype Ontology Engineering Tool) (Phenotype Ontology Engineering Tool) is a web-based application that is designed to generate data for disease and associated ontologies. POET is built with Spring Boot, Auth0, and Angular and provides a concise interface for quickly and securely annotating phenotypes to rare diseases using MAxO terms. Registration
To register for an account, go to the POET homepage at https://poet.jax.org/.
Now click the login
button at the top right. A login dialog will appear. To create an account, click on the
Enter your email address and a password. Once you have logged into the system, use the pull-down menu on the upper right to open your profile. You will need to enter your ORCID id before working on annotations.
ORCID
ORCID provides a persistent digital identifier (an ORCID iD) for researchers. We will use your ORCID id to keep track of your contributions (microattributions).
Here is an example ORCID record: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1453-1171. To enter the corresponding ORCID ID, enter 0000-0003-1453-1171 in POET.
