BioData Catalyst DMC¶
Goal¶
Create capacity for using geospatial data in BioData Catalyst (BDC).
Status¶
Active. The current DMC award (OT2HL167310) ends August 2026; for the planned renewal, the team is working through milestones for geospatial data integration. Plans include engaging CLAD to do similar work on geolocation and linking.
Anne and Charles Schmitt have been discussing BDC's use of NIEHS data products, tools, and services, and have engaged the BDC Program Officer about a specific use case with BDC using NIEHS data — a meeting to discuss this is planned.
Anne Thessen and Chris Siege are MPIs for this project, Corey Cox is Tech lead.
Key Details¶
- The DMC produces BDCHM (BioData Catalyst Harmonized Model), a LinkML-based harmonized data model used for ingest
- Geospatial integration will leverage approaches proven in CLAD and informed by Geodata 4 Health standards work
