CLAD (Center for Linkage and Acquisition of Data)

Goal

Provide data linkages for the All of Us program. The Center for Linkage and Acquisition of Data (CLAD) produced the CHEL (CLAD Hexagonal Environmental Linkage) dataset that links All of Us participants to several geospatial datasets according to AoU program requests.

Key Outputs

  • CHEL dataset — links AoU participants to geospatial data (data dictionary and documentation)
  • Residential address geolocation pipeline — created by Jim Phuong, provides lat/lon for an address. This pipeline inspired the Geodata 4 Health collaboration area because it exposed the need for a geolocation data standard (which does not yet exist)

Status

Active. About to start a new project year. Geospatial data linkage is the component that is not currently held up. CLAD and NIEHS have been in conversations about how NIEHS data products and tools can be used in All of Us.

Geospatial Leads

  • Charisse Madlock-Brown
  • Jim Phuong
  • Anne Thessen

Note

CLAD does not only do geospatial data linking, but that is the area most relevant to EnVar and the only part not currently held up.
